Agenda-setting in media coverage of the Jan. 6 House Select Committee Hearings on the Attack of the U.S. Capitol

This research examines the extent to which three Washington, D.C.-based newspapers of varying political leanings — The Washington Post, The Hill, and The Washington Examiner — engaged in the theory of agenda-setting throughout their news coverage of the first eight public hearings of the U.S. House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Attack. In pursuit of this goal, content analysis was performed on both the sentiment of articles and the existence of conflict frames within them.
